Health information is treated as sensitive personal information and given additional protection.
How I collect your information
Information may be collected:

When you arrange personal training directly with me.

I may use your information to:
-
Respond to enquiries.

Arrange and manage bookings.

Adapt exercise programmes to your needs, goals and health circumstances.

I do not currently operate an email mailing list and will not add you to one without telling you and obtaining any permission required.
Use of AI-supported tools
I may use AI-supported tools, including ChatGPT, to research exercise ideas and help inform programming decisions.
Where these tools are used, I will limit the information provided to what is reasonably necessary and aim to remove direct identifiers such as full names, contact information, payment details and completed PAR-Q documents. Information entered into an AI-supported service may be processed by the company providing that service.
AI is used only as a supporting research tool. It does not replace my qualifications, experience, professional judgement or personal understanding of each client. I review all suggestions and make every final programming decision myself. I do not use solely automated decision-making to determine a client’s training programme.
My reasons for using your information
Depending on the circumstances, I process information because:
-
It is necessary to respond to your request or provide the service you have booked.
-
I have a legitimate business interest in managing and improving my services.
-
I must comply with legal, tax, insurance or regulatory obligations.
-
You have given consent for a particular use, such as photographs or testimonials.
Health information is classed as special-category data. Where explicit consent is the appropriate condition for using it, this will be obtained through a clear statement on the PAR-Q or accompanying consent form. You may withdraw consent, although this may affect my ability to train you safely.
Bookings and payments
Stronger for Life classes and Stronger Together sessions can be booked and paid for through my Wix website. Personal-training sessions are arranged directly with me rather than booked through the website.
Wix and its connected payment providers may process information required to manage bookings and complete payments. I do not receive or store your complete payment-card details.
Sharing your information
I may share relevant information with trusted service providers that help me operate my business, including:
-
Wix and connected booking or payment providers.
-
Email, cloud-storage and administrative service providers.
-
AI-supported service providers, where limited information is used as described above.
-
My accountant, insurer or professional advisers.
-
Public authorities where disclosure is legally required.
These organisations should only receive the information needed to perform their services. I do not sell or rent personal information.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this occurs, I will rely on the safeguards used by those providers to protect internationally transferred information.
Photographs and testimonials
Photographs, videos, progress stories and testimonials will only be used for marketing or social media with separate, optional permission.
Refusing permission will not affect your ability to receive my services. You may withdraw permission for future use by contacting me, although I may not be able to retrieve material that has already been shared or copied by others.
How long I keep information
I keep information only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected.
Client, PAR-Q, financial and training records may generally be retained for up to seven years after the end of our working relationship, depending on legal, tax and insurance requirements. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking will normally be deleted sooner.
Information that is no longer required will be securely deleted or destroyed.
Keeping your information secure
I take reasonable precautions to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. These include protecting accounts and devices, limiting access to records and securely storing or disposing of paper and electronic information.
No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but I take proportionate steps to reduce the risks.
Cookies
This website may use essential cookies required for features such as security, bookings and payments. It may also use optional analytics or marketing cookies.
Where required, you will be able to manage optional cookies through the website’s cookie banner. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the website from working correctly.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
-
Ask for a copy of your personal information.
-
Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
-
Ask for information to be deleted.
-
Restrict or object to its use.
-
Ask for certain information to be transferred.
-
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
-
Complain about how your information has been handled.
To exercise any of these rights, contact me using the email address above.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office through the ICO website.
Changes to this policy
I may update this privacy policy when my services or legal responsibilities change. The latest version will always be published on this website with its revision date.
